This project is a great example of us working directly with an Agency and having the opportunity to manage the entire job, as well as the post production. Although photography took a smaller role in this job it is a prime example of how important it is to have a CGI and Retouch department that work well together to produce a finished photo realistic image. Firstly the bag was photographed, and then our CGI department built a replica in 3D that could be positioned exactly in line with the photography.  Once we’d built the bag we were then able to map the Birds Eye artwork directly over the satchel, taking into account any folds, bumps and texture.  This means that the artwork is not only projected accurately onto the bag, but really feels like it’s an integral part of the leather. Using the years of experience within our retouching department we were able to then combine the renders with the original photography to enhance the texture and shape of the leather retaining all detail for a pure photographic feel.
