This creative exercise aimed to explore how a vehicle’s attitude can be transformed using a wax pencil effect. The car, and in fact any object in the scene with physical geometry, can be drawn on, giving users full creative control. This graffiti effect can also be converted into an emissive material, meaning it doesn’t simply sit on top of the vehicle as a flat 2D overlay but can actively influence the lighting, shifting the overall mood and attitude of the scene.

Four distinct looks were created, each presenting the NIO EC7 in a unique lighting style and tone. The results show how, beyond standard configurator features, customers can build and personalise their own vision.
