Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Producer/Head of Production, the Producer works directly under him/her to produce and bid all assigned projects.


Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience within a post-production environment and at least two years as a producer

  • College degree in related field.  A combination of work experience and education can be substituted

  • Familiarity and experience with timelines and deliveries typically needed by artists on these programs: Photoshop, After Effects, Flame, Resolve, and 3D software platforms

  • Experience in using social media as commercial tools (Facebook apps, YouTube channels, MySpace, Twitter, etc.)

  • PC/Mac literate, word and excel proficiency needed

  • Knowledge of live-action protocols and bidding practices

  • Scheduling and organizational skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and intense pressure

  • Ability to schedule, prioritize and multitask

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Great communication skills [written and verbal]

  • Knowledge of all delivery formats

  • A good freelancer database, with strong relationships

  • Enjoys socializing within the industry to maintain and build new relationships

Job Relationships

  • Internal: This position works closely with Producers, Flame Artists, MCR, Grading, CG and Design.

  • External: Clients (Agencies, Networks, Production Companies, Editors)



Job Duties

  • *Line producing jobs, which includes the following:

    • Create estimates based on the boards and input from the client as well as from technical staff

    • Schedule the appropriate time between the artists and the machine room

    • Coordinate delivery of job between the departments

    • Keep job on schedule and meet all delivery dates

    • Liaise with Executive Producer and General Manager on job status on a regular basis.

    • Constant client contact

    • Track the job to the approved client budget

    • Report overages to the Head of Production, General Manager, and client when needed.

    • Actualize job upon completion

    • Oversee the invoicing process

  • *Usage of Photoshop, After Effects, Flame, Resolve, and 3D software platforms

  • Oversee all final masters and assets, which includes getting uncompressed masters to the library

  • *Be involved in pitches and conference calls with clients to understand how to prepare to bid on various projects

  • *Work with the Sales Team to help get pitches together (reels/paperwork/boards/ideas/ presentations). 

  • Know where all show reels/deconstructs are held and making sure they are updated

  • Keep schedules up to date for all departments, including the emailed “Daily Update”

  • Share information between departments and help to coordinate staff and resources (including freelancers) to cover projects

  • *Coordinate the recruitment and hiring of freelancers
