When TBWA Paris came to us with Nissans ‘Your Story Starts Here’ campaign we immediately knew that it would be a lot of fun to work on and just the right project to allow us to really express our creative retouching skills! We joined forces with photographer Andy Glass and first set about pre-visualising each of the layouts in 3D. From here we could explore and lock down the composition and camera set up which gave Andy a guide to utilise when shooting all the different elements. It was then over to our team of retouch artists to seamlessly pull everything together and build up these epic visuals.

Knowing that these images were going to be very complex multi-part comps, created from a vast pool of material captured across multiple locations, it was crucial we planned out the build of each scene beforehand. So prior to anything being photographed we went into 3D and pre-visualised the images. This didn’t require super high detail objects as everything would eventually be replaced with photography. But from here we could explore composition, scale, camera position and lensing and establish an approved design and set up that everyone was happy with and which Andy could utilise when shooting all the elements. It is a quick and effective process which significantly aids the end result and production process as a whole.
