Peloton Bike+

PELOTON

Bike+

Peloton uses technology and design to connect the world through fitness, empowering people to be the best version of themselves anywhere, anytime. To release their all new Peloton Bike+, the luxury fitness brand came to us to create the state of the art bike in CGI and Augmented Reality (AR).

PRE PRODUCTION | PREVIS

We envisioned how we'd showcase the awesome technology of the Bike+. After taking photos of the bike at Peloton in New York, we created a previz. The Bike+ features their largest rotating touch screen, and new front-facing speakers.

PRE PRODUCTION | CHALK RENDERS

The Bike+ is sleek in it's hardware. Chalk and test renders help us to show the client that our final product will look three-dimensional and photorealistic.

POST PRODUCTION | CGI & RETOUCH

Lighting was key in sculpting and defining the surfaces, materials and textures of the Bike+. In any 3D content creation, lighting is paramount, as hard and soft shadows dramatically affect the feel of the image. Great lighting transforms the image into something that is lifelike, engaging, and tangible.

FINAL | WEBSITE APPLICATION

Bike AR

Augmented Reality has greatly impacted consumers’ ability to shop from home. We created the Bike+ in AR to be launched directly from a website, or with a QR code. The bike launches at real-world size so consumers can see the equipment in their home, and even walk around it to check out all its features.

PRE PRODUCTION | BEHIND THE SCENES

Our production process for AR still uses the same skills as a traditional CGI process. We use a PBR shader workflow to ensure the materials perform correctly within different lighting scenarios. We retopologise the model prior to build to make sure it is optimised for a fast download onto the user's device.
