ROLEX

CG Product Imagery

Taylor James created 12 CG watches for Rolex. Assets were designed to be flexible for multichannel adaptation and were used for print executions and other marketing initiatives. The brand had traditionally used live action videos to showcase their watches, but photo-real CG product imagery offered flexibility at the highest quality and the unlimited potential of a digital workflow-  with quick regional adaptations and seamless product tweaks and variations.

PRODUCTION | CGI

We designed one production that would yield assets for every channel required. The CG approach eliminated the need for a separate photoshoot and video shoot and streamlined the process to be the most efficient and effective production possible. Our design team created styleframes of the watches to be created in CG before we began building elements. This allowed us to explore details before requiring enlisting the help of the render farm.

Our CG team, from design/concepting through modeling, lighting/texturing to compositing, brought the CG watches to live. Realism was of the utmost importance and with the flexibility of CG, we were able to keep all aspects of the elements sharp, while maintaining realistic depth of field.
